4,5 cl of vodka
12 cl of ginger beer
0,5 cl of lime juice
2 cl of pomegranate juice
The pomegranate Moscow Mule is a spectacular winter twist of the legendary Moscow Mule, what we could consider the Christmas version of the great classic based on vodka, lime, and ginger beer.
But be careful though, making the pomegranate Moscow Mule is not easy, because the juice of this beautiful winter fruit is very acidic, so the fruits must be perfectly ripe.
Another important step is the preparation of the juice itself: never buy pomegranate juice, it will never be at the level of the freshly squeezed juice, without counting the added sugars in industrial juices.
Okay, so let’s make this pomegranate juice, but try to buy big pomegranates, so we can cross-cut them and peel like an orange. Do not use the juicer or potato masher to make pomegranate juice, the white inner part is bitter if you crush it. And then in this way, many seeds remain inside will are not be crushed. As you can see doing the Moscow Mule with pomegranate is not a cakewalk, as long as you want to do it well!

Once you have shelled the pomegranate seeds, place them in a shaker and crush them with a muddler. Then strain the juice with a sieve and crush the leftover pulp with a spoon to squeeze out until the last drop.
Cool a copper mug or a glass with ice, then pour in more ice, lime, pomegranate juice, vodka, stir, add ginger beer to taste. Decorate with mint, lime wedges, and a few pomegranate seeds. If you want to try adding 2 drops of Celery Bitters: they make wonders!
