The Macho Man cocktail is a clear tribute to the great fighter of the 80-90s, a true myth of the WWF that flew like a dragonfly from the ropes, but unfortunately left us a few years ago. And in memory of his flights we have created a Pindaric cocktail with which to take the flight for at least a few minutes and relax.

It is not a heavy cocktail, rather it is also indicated as an aperitif or refreshing afternoon cocktail since we have focused more on aromatic suggestions than on alcoholic thickness.

The ingredients of the Macho Man cocktail are very acidic, fresh, light, everything in this aperitif wants to be graceful and carefree, so don’t expect a kind of Negroni cocktail.

The alcohol base is made by grappa since it offers so much versatility, so many different perfumes, flavors, and textures, it would be a pity not to take advantage of it.

The limoncello acts as a glue with its incredible citrus flavor. The saffron adds an exotic and mysterious touch. The lemon must never be missing, the pineapple is a flavor airbag and then the thyme and rosemary syrup closes the circle of perfumes.

The foam is made with albumen, but if you are vegan use acquafaba.

Ingredients and doses for making the Macho Man cocktail

  • 3 cl of grappa
  • 1.5 cl of limoncello
  • 2 cl of lemon juice
  • 1 cl of pineapple juice
  • an infinitesimal tip of saffron
  • 1 cl of thyme and rosemary syrup
  • 2 cl of egg white or 3 tablespoons of acquafaba

How to make the Macho Man cocktail

Squeeze the lemon and strain. Put all the ingredients in a shaker with no ice and shaker for 1 minute. Add some ice, shake to cool the cocktail and double strain in a cooled Martini cup.

Enjoy the Macho!
