Black Mamba Kiss: to be honest, we had thought before the cocktail’s name.
But it finally arrived: a fragrant, dark, and lascivious cocktail that starts from a base of blackberries juice and gin: two creatures of the woods, characterized by indomitable, primordial, pure flavors.
Making real blackberry juice at home is a nightmare. You’ll need at least a couple of dozen blackberries for each cocktail, and you have to crush them and then strain them through a fine sieve, but it’s worth it.
So much that you need to add a few ingredients to the mix, and the lysergic flavor of the blackberries will do the rest.
The Black Mamba Kiss is a classic after-dinner cocktail: dense, silky, and a nice load of alcohol and intensity. As an aperitif, it would be “too much.”
Ingredients of the Black Mamba Kiss cocktail
- 12 blackberries
- 3 cl of gin
- 2 cl of Grand Marnier
- 1 cl of cordial
- 2 cl of sugar syrup flavored with star anise
- 2 mint leaves
How to prepare the Black Mamba Kiss cocktail
Wash the blackberries well, put them in a fine-mesh strainer placed over a bowl, and start to crush them with a spoon. Push and push and strain and then again…
When you have finished putting all the ingredients in a shaker filled with ice, shake it with ardor for 20 seconds and strain it in a Martini glass, which you will have previously cooled with ice.
Decorate with a slice of apple and a mint leaf or berries to taste.
To prepare the star anise-flavored sugar syrup, take a bottle, fill it with 1 liter of sugar syrup, drop in 3 stars (the fruits), seal, and let rest for at least three days.
After that, you can strain and bottle it again and use it to flavor your cocktails with a beautiful touch, especially the berries, which with anise has a spiritual bond.
