Directions
The beauty of November is that despite being a cold, rainy month and with the days that inevitably shorten, we have an array of incredible ingredients for making new cocktails. Like oranges and tangerines, perfect for preparing sunny cocktails, full of bright colors and great fragrances.
So, let’s start with a classic twist of the Margarita cocktail, in which we are going to use tangerine juice instead of lime. The balsamic flavor of tequila is particularly suited to enhance the intense and aromatic flavor of tangerines, which combine a unique freshness with a sweet touch that gently caresses the palate.
Ingredients for making the tangerine Margarita
- 90 ml of fresh tangerine juice, about 5 mandarins
- 45 ml of tequila
- 20 ml of triple sec
- 10 ml of sugar syrup
- tangerine slices for garnish
How to prepare the perfect tangerine Margarita
Squeeze the mandarins one by one. I know it’s a tough job, to get 90 cl of juice you will need a lot of work, but it’s worth it.
Strain the juice and put it in a shaker with ice, tequila, triple sec and sugar syrup.
Shake for 10 seconds and then pour into a small bowl, which you have cooled previously with a few ice cubes. Serve an incredible, super aromatic cocktail!
