The cocktail of the day flows from a bottle of Chinotto. A legendary drink of the past, produced from Citrus Myrtifolia, commonly known as Chinotto, a type of citrus similar to orange, just more bitter.
Its taste is delicate, almost spicy and if you love cocktails is like manna from heaven, you could create a ton of new drinks with a simple, delicious ingredient.
It admirably replaces coke and other industrial beverages, indeed it outclasses any cokes and gives to your cocktails a heavenly profusion of aromas and a bitter twist that refreshes and leaves the palate clean. But it is the combination with bourbon whisky the real revelation, with that entangling caramel notes that tease and invite to drink.
We will simply call this new cocktail Chinotto Sour, don’t worry, the lack of imagination is balanced by the wonderful flavor of this drink.
Just to change the cards on the table, instead of sugar we opted for eucalyptus honey, which gives the cocktail a wonderful, balsamic fragrance, so try to find it.
