How to make broccoli and ginger beef stir fry
We start as always with all the possible beef cuts. You do not need to serve prime cuts such as fillet. Indeed, thanks to the marinating, we will be able to soften also the toughest cuts: tri-tip, sirloin, flat iron steak and flank steak.
Cut the meat into strips and place in a bowl, cover with soy sauce, add garlic and the chopped ginger, sugar, sesame oil, vinegar, sesame seeds, stir and refrigerate for 1 hour.
If you’re in a hurry, skip the marinating processes.
Meanwhile, wash the broccoli and boil for 10 minutes in boiling water, then cut into small pieces.
Put 5 tablespoons of olive oil and 1 clove, heat oil in a wok, throw in the broccoli, drain the beef strips well, and cook for a few minutes on high heat, adding a splash of mirin or vinegar.
After 3 minutes, season with the marinade of soy sauce and cook for 2 minutes more and your beef is ready to be served.
As you’ve seen, the recipe is super-fast and nothing special. You can make this delicious dish within 20 minutes. Just plan ahead for the marinade.
If you want to serve a complete meal, add a bowl of steamed rice and you’ll be fine.
What wine matches well to beef sautéed with broccoli, ginger and soy sauce?
We choose a bold, spicy, but not too tannic red wine: roundness is the watchword. Teroldego from Redondel winery is the perfect wine. Brunello di Montalcino, Barolo, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon or Aglianico are nice options too.
If you want to pair a cocktail, Negroni is the answer.
