Ingredients for making Tiramisù with walnuts and salted caramel

For making the caramelized nuts

For the salted caramel

  • 120 grams of caster sugar
  • 40 grams of boiling water
  • 2 grams of salt

For finishing the dessert

  • 250 grams of ladyfingers
  • 400 grams of classic Tiramisù cream
  • 150 grams of coffee
  • dark chocolate flakes

How to make the perfect Tiramisù with walnuts and salted caramel

As we said the recipe is long and you should prepare some ingredients like Tiramisù cream in advance and then assemble everything more calmly.

We’ll start with the caramelized nuts: boil the water and granulated sugar bringing the temperature to 120 ° C, then put inside walnuts (once you have slightly heated them) and stir until they are perfectly caramelized. Put the mixture on a flat surface using wax paper and let it cool.

How to make Mascarpone cream with nuts: mix Mascarpone with the chopped caramelized walnuts and some meringues. And this was easy, no problem at all.

Now let’s tackle the salted caramel: in a pan caramelize slowly the sugar then pour the boiling water. Season with the salt and stir well.

Put a layer of ladyfingers cut on the bottom of the glass, soak well with a few drops of coffee and lie down with a spoon some Mascarpone cream and nuts and cover with a thin layer of salted caramel.

Now using sac-à-poche finish make the last layer, filling the glass with some classic Tiramisù cream.

Refrigerate for 3-5 hours. Before serving the Tiramisù sprinkle some dark chocolate flakes.
