Collefrisio Vignaquadra Falanghina 2021: a cheap and light white wine
Collefrisio Vignaquadra Falanghina 2021 is a simple and immediate white wine, very fragrant and fresh, not particularly original, but if you have a restaurant and are looking for an inexpensive “basic wine,” it is excellent. If you don’t work in the restaurant business but want to drink an easy and immediate wine, think about it, even as an aperitif.
How it is produced
The vines are planted on the hills of Piane di Maggio in Frisa, near Chieti. Soft pressing, fermentation with selected yeasts, and controlled temperature and aging in steel
Organoleptic characteristics
Pale yellow color. The scents of banana yogurt, lime, and mint candies are stylized and a little too strong. It doesn’t have great depth, but it shoots a thousand fruity scents in bursts.
On the palate, it is fresh, thin, flowing, and has an almond flavor. It has discreet drinkability, but it’s not particularly expressive or engaging. You drink it, and after 2 seconds, you forget it.
Price
9-10 euros.
