Directions
The Ward Eight cocktail is a classic drink of the American tradition based on Bourbon, one of those drunk a little out of date for our tastes, but all in all, it has its dignity and deserves a taste.
The ingredients of the Ward 8 cocktail are interesting, but in the end, they don’t dare, they could do better, but now this is … Bourbon whiskey, lemon juice, orange juice and so far they are excellent, but then comes the grenadine and that’s it all ends there. It would have been enough to add a few drops of absinthe, Chartreuse or angostura and it would have been even better. But you always have time to fix it.
In any case, the Ward Eight cocktail is a drink with a sharp and sweet taste, velvety and angular, with Bourbon’s buttery flavor in the background to give rhythm. But pay attention, don’t be fooled by its fresh taste: the alcohol content is high, since the dose of Bourbon is generous, in pure Yankee style.
