Saint Valentine’s Day is coming, so we decided to give you a recipe to share with your better half: tiramisù.
But this is not the classic, traditional Tiramisù; no, this is special and hides a hot, pulsing alcoholic heart that will make your Valentine’s dinner explosive.
If we want to see it as an aphrodisiac dessert, fine, why not?
The two spirits we have chosen to flavor this tiramisù are Cointreau (or Aurum) and Cognac. Cointreau, with its aromatic, rich, and zesty flavors, is perfect to cut the fattiness of the Mascarpone cheese, adding amazing nuances that recall the fruit’s delicious freshness.
Instead, cognac will be mixed with coffee, which will give it an alcoholic thickness and add sweet and spicy notes to its toasty smells.
The recipe is not difficult, but you have to make it in advance to let it rest in the refrigerator. So, are you ready to prepare the perfect, boozy Tiramisù for Valentine’s Day?
Ingredients for a perfect, boozy Tiramisù
For a couple in love
- 250 grams of Mascarpone cheese
- 3 cups of espresso or moka 1
- 4 cl
- 8 ladyfingers (savoiardi)
- 60 grams of sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- 4 cl Cointreau or rum
- Cocoa for dusting
How to prepare a super delicious, alcoholic tiramisu
Separate the yolks from the whites.
In a bowl, beat the egg yolks with sugar for 3–4 minutes.
Add the Mascarpone cheese gradually, season with Cointreau, and mix well.
Prepare the coffee, put it in a bowl, and add the cognac, mixing gently.
Soak the ladyfingers, being careful not to soak too much, otherwise they become mushy.
Put a layer of ladyfingers in a cup or bowl, cover with a Mascarpone avalanche, then put a few more ladyfingers, one more layer of Mascarpone, and level with a spatula.
Sprinkle some cocoa powder, and, if you want (and why wouldn’t you want to? ), a few dark chocolate shavings are very welcome.

If you want to, and if you have time to bake it, you can also prepare the Tiramisù with the sponge cake instead of ladyfingers. A lovely, fatty brick…
