It’s with great pride that we present the Golden Italian cocktail, the more beautiful, nice, and likable cousin of the Black Russian. We don’t want to offend our Russian friends, but the Golden Italian is a bomb of flavors with explosive power, light years ahead of the predictable classic Black Russian.
What are the ingredients of the Golden Italian cocktail? They are two, we want to keep the proportions unchanged, as for Black Russian, but as protagonists, we have two Italian products that the whole world envies us. Nocino and grappa: two national treasures that pay homage to the viticulture and peasant traditions of the Emilian Apennines. As grappa, we recommend an aged in wood grappa, full-bodied, but not young or too aromatic. An Amarone or Barolo grappa that has made at least 5 years of wood aging is excellent, a fruity muscat grappa is not ok.
The result is a powerful, yet elegant, complex cocktail, full of aromatic nuances and charm, but also good alcohol content, so drink it as an after-dinner, as a meditation cocktail, not an aperitif.
