The Coco cocktail is the drink we invented for the Día De Los Muertos, a celebration that unites the world of the living and that of the dead in a night full of magic. So to feed this magic you need an intense, smoky and cheerful cocktail.

The alcohol content of the Coco cocktail is medium: as an aperitif, it is excellent, thanks to its smooth flavor that does not weigh down the palate. But beware the alcoholic sensation is not felt much, thanks to a thousand fragrances and fruity suggestions, so do not be fooled. A couple is desirable, but no more. Of course, as after dinner, the Coco cocktail is at its best: it is snappy, sharp, but with a smoky, ethereal and very fruity undertone.

The ingredients of the Coco cocktail: mezcal, then a dash of Cerveza, lemongrass, guava, lime and a tablespoon of coconut cream to add sweetness and keep it all together. Overall it is a very strong alcoholic aperitif, it gives euphoria, but the flavor is subtle and elegant. In short, it is not an alcoholic bomb.

Coco cocktail ingredients and doses

  • 4 cl of mezcal
  • 2 cl of beer
  • 1 cl of lime
  • 4 cl guava juice
  • 2 tablespoons of coconut cream
  • 4 tablespoons of egg white or acquafaba
  • lemongrass

How to make the Día de Los Muertos cocktail, Coco

Squeeze the lime and strain the juice.

Put the mezcal, lime, guava juice, coconut cream, and egg white in a shaker without ice and shake for 1 minute.

Add the ice, stir quickly and pour into a glass with a large piece of ice. If you want you can smoke the piece of ice with cherry wood. Add a dash of beer and place a few lemongrass leaves on top with a dash of water.
