Another cocktail with ice cream: today’s one is made with mandarin, rum and angostura ice cream and the result is a bomb of taste.

The sweetness is minimal, the ice cream from the Plasir laboratory is very aromatic and fresh and the sweetness is barely perceptible. The rum we have chosen is the Don Papa 5 years, a decent rum if drunk alone, as it is marked by a very strong spicy and vanilla note, bordering on annoying.

But this rum, if used as a distillate and flavoring, transforms itself, becomes discreet, we want to unbalance ourselves. If you want you can also use Kraken rum, another very exuberant distillate, flavored with 11 botanicals, including ginger and cinnamon in the first place. You do it, it goes well with both of you.

In this heat, ice cream cocktails are a panacea, they add a new dimension to our aperitif drinks, encouraging us to use even atypical products such as very spicy rums in Don Papa and Kraken style. Not to mention vermouth, bitters and more particular liqueurs such as Cinico.

When is the consumption of this cocktail indicated? At all hours, from the midday fashion aperitif to the hottest summer evenings, always reminding you to drink in moderation and criteria. We will call Spartacus Cocktail, the tonic of beach warriors who love protein and highly vitaminizing drinks to recover after long squat sessions with great humility and imagination. This is the cocktail for you whether you are retired, DILF or gym rat who take the bench to the beach.

Ingredients and doses to make the Spartacus cocktail

  • 30 grams of mandarin ice cream
  • 4 drops of Angostura
  • 4 cl of rum Don Papa 5 or Kraken
  • 3 drops of triple sec, use the good stuff!

How to make the Spartacus cocktail

The ease with which this aperitif is prepared is directly proportional to the elegance with which it will flow like silk on your palate. Put the ice cream in a shaker with the rum and stir for 2 minutes with a spoon.

Add 2 ice cubes, the triple sec, the Angostura and shake for 2-3 minutes.

Pour into a well-chilled glass and serve the Spartacus cocktail with pride!
