Portobello Road Distillery’s Festive Fervor: Mince Pie Gin and Mushroom Vodka Revolutionize Spirits
In the heart of London, the acclaimed Portobello Road Distillery has unveiled an exclusive trio of limited edition spirits to celebrate the festive season, featuring a culinary twist. These unique creations include a mushroom-infused vodka and a mince pie-flavored gin, showcasing the distillery’s innovative flair.
The first of these unique spirits is Director’s Cut No 5, a distinctive gin infused with five types of juniper berries from across the globe, boasting a robust 47.3% ABV. The second, Mince Pie Sloe Gin, features a 30% ABV and is infused with Portobello Road’s exclusive mince pie distillate. This secret recipe is then aged in ex-whiskey barrels for a deeply festive taste.
The third and perhaps most intriguing is the Local Heroes No.1 Mushroom Cabinet Vodka, a collaborative effort with chef Brett Graham of the prestigious Notting Hill restaurant, The Ledbury. This vodka, which incorporates mushrooms from the chef’s own collection, is noted for its ‘intense’ and ‘elegant’ flavor profile.

In addition to the mushroom vodka and Director’s Cut No 5, Portobello Road’s Mince Pie Sloe Gin emerges as a highlight. This spirit can be purchased on the Portobello Road and the Distillery websites. The mince pie gin and mushroom vodka are priced at £33 (US$42), while the Director’s Cut No 5 is available for £39 (US$49).
