The Pangu cocktail is a hymn to a great Italian product: grappa. But drinking smooth grappa is a titanic task. But we want a new, light and sumptuous aperitif and so we are going to flavor grappa with almonds and dried figs.

The process is very simple: buy the figs, slice them and throw them inside a bottle of oaked grappa. For 1 liter of grappa 7-8 figs are sufficient. Add 50 grams of almonds, 2 mint leaves, seal the bottle and let it rest for 3 days in a dark and cool place.

Remember to shake it every night before going to bed.

After 3 days, taste and if you like it, filter the grappa and put it in a clean bottle.

Figs under spirit are delicious when eaten with Greek yogurt, just saying. But let’s go to our Pangu cocktail.

Ingredients and doses for making Pangu cocktail

  • 4 cl of grappa flavored with figs, almonds and mint
  • 1.5 cl of fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cl of sugar syrup
  • grenadine or creme de cassis to give a touch of color

How to prepare Pangu cocktail

Squeeze the lemon into an old-fashioned glass, add the syrup, the flavored grappa and stir.

Fill with crushed ice, stir and then pour over 2 or 3 tablespoons of creme de cassis.
