Luretta Vinery
The Luretta winery results from a happy encounter between territory and human ingenuity. First, Felice Salamini and then his son Lucio, today at the helm of the winery, have carried out a fantastic project, starting from land abandoned for some time. As always, great projects are born from a dream. A vision made up of vineyards where before there was nothing but uncultivated land, but which has proved to be a winning bet.
The 45 hectares of the cellar are divided into four plots, between Val Luretta and Val di Nure, characterized by totally different conditions and soils, from clay to limestone, which allows a varied production, with suggestive interpretations which always start from respect for the land.
The labels and the names of the wines are thanks to the imagination of Carla Acuti, the lady of the Momeliano castle.
Philosophy of the Luretta winery
The link with the Piacenza area is strong and is manifested in absolute respect for the vineyards and their natural rhythms. The winery operates organically, and in the vineyard, only copper and sulfur are used for the treatments, the yields per vine are rigorously low, the training system is the spurred cordon, and each operation is done religiously by hand.
Style of Luretta wines
The cellar offers a range of well-assorted wines, with calibrated prices and imagination in interpreting both native and international wines. The reds are rich in pulp with elegant structure, momentum, and depth articulated in intriguing aromatic nuances. The whites offer a storm of flowers and endless flavor; the rosé wines are the triumph of Pinot Noir and draw suggestions that caress the palate with grace.
Why should you visit the Luretta winery?
The beauty of Momeliano castle, surrounded by vineyards, is comparable only to the gracefulness of sparkling wines, first of all, the rosé Roncolino, a Pinot Noir of a rare finesse, with a thousand faces. A visit is also a must to get to know a cellar where creativity and tradition coexist under the vaults of a beautiful castle.
Rosé Roncolino Riserva
Seductive coral color. The bouquet is a riot of small berries that alternate with savory, marine notes, rose petals, and citrus fruits, with a light background of bread crust: 36 months on the lees and on the palate, this complexity will amaze you. In the mouth, it is gritty, modulated by mineral layers, persistent, and with a crunchy finish. A rosé to pair with sushi, oysters, rabbit blanquette, linguine with lobster.
Principessa, Pas Dosé
Straw yellow with a subtle perlage. In the nose, it is a good game of balance between notes of hazelnuts, nougat, and bread crust and those of citrus fruits, with mentholated bursts to close an intriguing aromatic outfit. In the mouth, it is full, rocky, balanced, with savory facets that give structure to a classy sparkling wine, perfect for sea bass carpaccio.
Boccadirosa, Malvasia Colli Piacentini DOC
A Malvasia with a typical fragrant nose with apple, peach, jasmine, and mineral returns. On the palate, it is electrifying, modulated by an elegant flavor—a white wine to pair with pumpkin and saffron risotto, Thai-style rolls, and chicken salad.
I nani e le ballerina, Colli Piacentini DOC Sauvignon
A good Sauvignon offers the nose a symphony of exotic fruit intertwined with citrus, wisteria, sage, and tomato leaf notes. Everything is marked, and in the mouth, you can find the same sensations driven by well-balanced acidity, in tasty balance with the underlying flavor.
Sélin dl’Larmari, Colli Piacentini Chardonnay DOC
The nose is complex, rich in references to ripe fruit, dried flowers, and delicate spicy notes. In the mouth, it is full, round, with an enveloping sip, but balanced by an acidity that runs through the wine, accompanying it to a finish where ripe almonds and peaches slowly fade.
Corbeau, Cabernet Sauvignon DOC
Cabernet Ruby red dress. Typical and enveloping nose with blueberries and plums that leave room for gusts of mint and chocolate, coffee, cedar, and cardamom. In the mouth, it is powerful, ample in both tannins and structure, masterfully finished by 12 months in barrique. Balanced, savory, to pair with stuffed guinea fowl, tagliolini with hare ragout, roast kid.
Manvantara, Colli Piacentino Bonarda, DOC
A Bonarda that perfectly sums up the philosophy of the Colli Piacentini: intense fruit, good body smoothed by a sweet refinement, and elegant spiciness. It flows warm and round in the mouth, with tapered tannins, which fade into a licorice finish. To be paired with veal cheek in red wine, wild boar shank, tagliatelle with meat sauce.
Ala di Drago, Gutturnio Superiore Colli Piacentini DOC
A typical Gutturnio with blackberries and cherries, surrounded by intriguing notes of pepper, sweet spices, and violet petals. In the mouth, it is impressive for its drinkability and balance between its parts with an elegant tannin that stretches between marasca cherry and juniper returns. Pair with steaks, ribs in bbq sauce, cold cuts, and fried dumplings.
Achab, Colli Piacentini Pinot Nero
The hills rich in marl and limestone of the Val Luretta are the ideal terroir for breeding a structured Pinot Nero. Spicy and intense nose centered on the undergrowth with strawberries, musk, tea, mint, raspberries, and violets blooming under the leaves. In the mouth, it is elegant, sculpted by beautiful sapidity, accompanied by always vibrant acidity. Juicy and fine tannins. To be paired with tagliolini with truffles.
Carabas, Colli Piacentini Barbera DOC
The Luretta winery boasts a Barbera of beautiful momentum, typical, juicy, with intense tannins but refined by the wood. Evocative nose with a cascade of cherries, iris, pepper, and plums. Everything is consistently declined with agility. Dry and round mouth, supported by a spicy freshness that makes the wine very drinkable. A classic Barbera to combine with agnolotti with meat sauce, pork fillet in a crust, risotto with porcini mushrooms.
Gutturnio Superiore, Colli Piacentini DOC
Intense red. Ripe bouquet with plums and cherries surrounded by returns of sweet spices. Wide and soft mouth, where nice tannins well support the fruit. A lively Gutturnio to combine with lasagna with meat sauce, Florentine steak, porchetta of rabbit with wild fennel.
