Panarea Island gin tasting notes and review

The Panarea Island gin is a very fragrant, elegant distillate, characterized by excellent drinkability, all played on delicate floral and fruity suggestions.
It is not the classic London Dry Gin for battle, full-bodied and sinewy, it does not boast infinite and bombastic oriental botanicals, on the contrary, it is quite the opposite.
It is a delicate symphony of Sicilian aromas and flavors, a hymn to this land kissed by the sun and the breeze. Take the scent of the sea, the sun and the flowers of Sicily and put them in a bottle.
You will find oranges, lemons, cedars, flowers, ginger at will, a touch of coriander and pepper, but above all what is striking is the freshness that is perceived on the palate.
We do not want to say that it is a juice, quite the contrary it is a fabric distillate with a well-defined and perceptible alcoholic structure.
However, that sensation, those flavors, of sage, myrtle, white pepper and lemon are magnificent and refresh the whole mouth with power and rhythm.

If many American gins had accustomed us to Pindaric flights with petals, ethereal perfumes and amazing spices, this Panarea gin returns to the origins of its land and does it in great style.
Panarea Island gin bouquet
The tones are elegant but decisive, illuminated by large resinous and woody references, in the midst of which peek out oranges, bergamot, pepper, ginger and broom.
Panarea Island gin flavor
It is a thick, warm, broad, spicy gin, with good freshness and moderate roundness. Citrus flavors are in evidence. Good balance, very long persistence.
Price of Panarea Island gin
30 euros: a normal price for a good artisan bottle.
Which cocktails to prepare with Panarea Island gin
Excellent with all fruit juice cocktails, fabulous for Fizzes and Collins, a little less with vermouth. Let’s use it for gin and tonic with berries, Singapore Sling, Bronx, Bramble.
