El Jimador tequila blanco tasting notes and review
El Jimador tequila blanco is a solid and well-made distillate, one of the most widespread tequilas in the world, but also one of the most reliable. Few frills and so lot of substance are the characteristics of this fermented blue agave juice distillate, which after a double distillation does not even see the wood, but is bottled immediately.
Clearly, it’s not a tequila for meditation but is great for making cocktails and sangria, a simple and direct product that doesn’t hide behind thousands of suggestions. Do not expect a complex and evolved spirit, it is the opposite: it’s all freshness and straight aromaticity.
It is not a handmade product or particularly valuable, but all in all, it is a discreet tequila, it does not betray expectations and technically it is precise and clean.
The bouquet of the El Jimador blanco tequila
Pungent nose with citrus fruits, pepper, papaya and notes of dried yellow, although it is the agave to dominate the aromatic expression. Overall it is well designed, not too stylish, but fresh and with good progression. Classic ethereal finish.
What does El Jimador blanco tequila taste like?
In the mouth it is warm and sharp, but with good softness. Spicy up and downs, it pushes on the palate with a crescendo reminiscent of mint and then returns to the slightly smoky flavors of agave. Good but not great: freshness and general aromatic cleanliness are ok.
Cost of the tequila El Jimador blanco
30 euros, a fair price for a discreet distillate that does not disappoint.
