But there is a solution to avoid super caloric desserts: make a light (fake) Tiramisu with strawberries.

This is a twist, it’s not as good and greedy as the original, but if you don’t want to give up Tiramisu even in summer, you have found the right recipe.

Strawberry Tiramisu (no raw eggs) ingredients

  • 6 cl of triple sec
  • 2 limes
  • 10 grams of ginger
  • 40 strawberries
  • 25 ladyfingers
  • 30 grams of sugar
  • 450 grams of mascarpone or ricotta cheese
  • 2 cl of extra Cointreau for the mascarpone cream

How to prepare strawberry tiramisù

Before leaving, you have two possibilities to present this Tiramisu: in a single cup with sliced ​​strawberries but without ladyfingers or in the classic tray with sliced ​​and sliced ​​strawberries and layered biscuits.

Matters of time and style, you see what you prefer.

If you have little time, cut the strawberries into wedges and season with lime, Cointreau, and sugar, and leave to macerate for 1 hour in the refrigerator.

Blend a little less than half and put the sauce in each cup, then place the strawberry wedges in the bottom of the glass.

In a bowl, mix the mascarpone with 4 tablespoons of Cointreau, the finely chopped ginger, the pureed, the sugar, and the juice of the second lime.

Fill the bowls with the mascarpone cream, place in the refrigerator and take them out 2-3 minutes before serving.

The strawberries should be cut and thinly sliced ​​and seasoned with lime, 4 tablespoons of sugar, and the Cointreau.

Leave to marinate for 10 minutes, then drain the marinating liquid and place it in a deep dish.

Soak the ladyfingers in the strawberry liquid to flavor them, but do not soak them, or they will pulp.

Place them on the bottom of a baking dish, and cover with the sliced ​​strawberries and a layer of mascarpone cream. Put another layer of ladyfingers, then a few strawberries, and cover with mascarpone.
