Tuna is a great source of protein, contains little cholesterol. It is packed with nutrients like vitamins A and D, B … In Japan the tuna is eaten raw as sushi or sashimi. Today I present to you an appetizer (natural) with wasabi.
Ingredients for the perfect seared tuna steaks with wasabi cream
Recipe for 6
- 2 tuna steaks 200 g
- 2 tablespoons of flaxseed
- olive oil
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon wasabi
In a bowl mix the cream and wasabi, you can decrease or increase the amount of cream or wasabi depending on your taste/guests.
On each side of the steaks, add salt, pepper and sprinkle with flaxseed. Cook tuna for 2 minutes on each side in a hot pan with olive oil. Cut steak into large cubes, meat should be pink, place the cubes on the plates.
Place the wasabi cream in the center of the plate or on the tuna. It will make your guests talk about the meal!!!
Which wine should we pair with these delicious seared tuna steaks topped with wasabi cream?
This one could be one of the simplest, yet most amazing pairing of your life. Pinot Noir and Tuna are a match made in Heaven. We suggest a fine, subtle Pinot Noir from South Tyrol, Dornach winery’s one is just perfect.
