Creamsicle: the recipe for making a thirst-quenching summer cocktail

Directions

Share

The Creamsicle is a delicious cocktail, a bit heavy and monotonous, but overall pleasant and refreshing. We may deduce from the ingredients that it was created in the early 2000s, when cream and vanilla vodka were popular, as were sweet cocktails with a sumptuous taste.

Its creamy flavor evokes the tastes of childhood, in particular the famous orange and cream ice cream and, in fact, the famous Orange and Cream popsicles. Its balanced sweetness and creamy flavor make it perfect for summer days or as a liquid dessert. It’s not the best cocktail in the world, but it’s worth a try.

Ingredients

Method

Place the glass in the fridge to chill, or fill it with ice for a few minutes before making the cocktail.
Place all ingredients in a shaker; do not add anything, and shake for 2 minutes. Dry shaking to whip the cream properly.
Now add the ice and shake for 30 seconds, until the ingredients are well blended and the shaker is cryogenized to the touch.
Strain the cocktail into a glass filled with ice.
Add a slice of orange and/or a stick of vanilla as a garnish.

Note

You can customize the Creamsicle by adding a touch of ground nutmeg, cinnamon, or creme de menthe.
If you want a creamier and more enveloping consistency, add 80 grams of ice, put everything in the blender, and make the frozen version.
If you don’t have vanilla vodka, use regular vodka and add 2 drops of vanilla extract or plain vanilla syrup.
