The Blue Lagoon cocktail is a typically American drink. There is only one problem with this drink: everyone makes it wrong. If you try to do a Google search, you have to tear your eyelashes out of fear.

Recipes with pineapple juice, recipes invented or clumsily copied, in short, it is a nightmare.

In reality, the Blue Lagoon is a simple sour with vodka, blue curacao, lime or lemon juice, and sugar syrup.

It was born in the 70s as a classic beach cocktail, and thanks to its sharp and super thirst-quenching taste, it has acquired certain fame.

So since many of you have asked us, here is the authentic recipe for the Blue Lagoon cocktail. Drink responsibly: it is a cocktail with heavy alcohol content for a refreshing summer cocktail, and with the heat and dehydration, it is better not to overdo it.

Ingredients and doses to make the Blue Lagoon cocktail

  • 4 cl of vodka
  • 2 cl of blue curacao
  • 2 cl of lemon juice
  • 1 cl of sugar syrup

How to make the Blue Lagoon cocktail

Do not use the shaker to make the cocktail. It is not needed.

Squeeze 1 lemon, strain the juice, add the sugar syrup and stir until the syrup has dissolved.

Fill a mixing glass with ice, pour the vodka, blue curacao, sweet and sour, and stir gently.

Pour, straining with the filter, into a glass full of ice and decorate with a slice of lemon or lime.

If you prefer a softer and more tame cocktail, the sugar crust is a touch that softens the acid impact of the cocktail.
