Torabhaig Distillery Unveils Final Chapter of Legacy Series with Limited Allt Gleann Batch Strength
Torabhaig Distillery in Skye has rolled out a limited-run Allt Gleann single malt, marking the finale of its inaugural Legacy Series.
This batch-strength edition hails from a carefully curated collection of casks set aside during Torabhaig’s formative, experimental years. Neil Macleod Mathieson, Torabhaig’s master distiller, emphasized that this release serves as a poignant farewell to the Allt Gleann line and a climax to this phase of the distillery’s decade-long journey.
Distinct for its “well-tempered peat,” this special edition embodies the essence of Torabhaig’s aromatic spirit. Mathieson assures that everything, from barley variety to yeast type and residual ppm, is transparently disclosed on the label. The intent is to invite whisky enthusiasts to join Torabhaig on its experimental voyage as they craft their liquid legacy.
Opened in January 2017, Torabhaig is Skye’s second whisky distillery, sharing the island with the renowned Talisker. The Allt Gleann name originates from a natural spring that supplies water to the distillery. This limited edition is available at select global retailers, retailing for £75/85€/US$89.99.
