Unveiling the 2023 Causeway Collection: Bushmills’ Ode to Timeless Craftsmanship and Modern Ingenuity
Bushmills Drops Fourth Instalment of Causeway Collection, a Symphony of Aged Single Malts
Master blender Alex Thomas orchestrates the 2023 Causeway Collection, a lineup of nine single malts aged between 10 and 23 years. Each bottle has been meticulously aged in oloroso sherry butts and bourbon barrels, then given a grand finale in diverse casks—think virgin American oak, Sauternes, and Cognac.
This year, the collection flaunts a revamped bottle and packaging design, amplifying its allure.
Thomas pulls no punches: “I live for the craft of exploring exotic woods and redefining what a traditional single malt can be. This series is where Bushmills’ centuries-old expertise meets modern ingenuity. It’s a deep dive into the casks’ untapped narratives.”
These whiskeys are a flavor odyssey, echoing the mystical essence and natural grandeur of their Bushmills roots. Thomas declares, “Our troops are thrilled to present such outstanding assortment to whiskey connoisseurs everywhere.”
Originating in 2020 and drawing inspiration from the nearby natural wonder, the Giant’s Causeway, the collection pays tribute to a distillation legacy dating back to the early 1600s. The 2023 release is hot on the heels of the unveiling of the new Causeway Distillery, sitting adjacent to the iconic Old Bushmills Distillery.
