The Grappa Cobbler is a summer and thirst-quenching cocktail, easy to make, simple in its sober elegance.
It is nothing strange. The inspiration comes from the forefather of the Cobblers, the legendary Sherry Cobbler, the drink that started the first cocktails based on wine and trio ice, descendants of the juleps.
But thanks to its charge of freshness, it is a candidate as an aperitif summer drink for this fiery 2022 summer, where a record heat is expected.
So what’s better than a low alcoholic cocktail, but fresh and sharp, plus the tantalizing bubbles of ginger beer to bring refreshment?
The ingredients of the Grappa Cobbler cocktail are easy to find: young non-aromatic grappa, ginger beer, Angostura, Chambord, lemon juice, and some raspberries to throw in. If you also find blueberries and blackberries, add them as well.
Ingredients and doses for making Grappa Cobbler
- 4 cl of Grappa
- 8 cl of ginger beer
- 2 cl of Chambord
- 2 drops of Angostura
- 1.5 cl of lemon or lime juice
- two drops of vanilla extract
How to make the Grappa Cobbler cocktail
Squeeze the lime and strain the juice. Put the grappa, Chambord, lime juice, angostura, two drops of vanilla extract, and two of angostura in the shaker, add ice, shake, and pour into a glass full of crushed ice, where you have placed 4-5 raspberries and berries if you want to add flavor.
Pour the ginger beer and taste your new summer aperitif.
