WhistlePig Unveils a Trailblazing Non-Alcoholic Cocktail
Vermont’s esteemed WhistlePig Distillery has boldly stepped into the non-alcoholic realm this Dry January, unveiling an Old Fashioned ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktail that ingeniously blends non-psychoactive cannabis terpenes for a unique twist.
Crafted from the distillery’s revered Barrel Aged Maple Old Fashioned recipe, this innovative concoction incorporates WhistlePig’s PiggyBack Devil’s Slide 100% Rye Non-Whiskey, barrel-aged maple syrup, and distinctively cultivated Vermont cannabis terpenes aged in whiskey barrels.
WhistlePig asserts that these terpenes infuse the cocktail with a ‘hazy aroma’ and a ‘toasty mouthfeel,’ elevating the non-alcoholic experience to new heights.
Meghan Ireland, the mastermind behind WhistlePig’s blending, remarks, “Navigating the crossroads of non-alcoholic beverages and cannabis trends, we’ve embraced terpenes to unlock a novel realm of flavor. The outcome is simply sensational, with these terpenes infusing our creation with the depth of aroma and richness in texture often absent in non-alcoholic offerings.”
She elaborates, “Regardless of whether you’re indulging in a bit of ‘hog walking’, partaking in ‘electric lettuce’, or choosing to abstain, there’s no reason for WhistlePig enthusiasts to forgo the pleasure of an exceptional Old Fashioned this January.”
The Dank & Dry Old Fashioned Cocktail is priced at $49.99 for a 750ml bottle. For enthusiasts, there’s the ‘Hox Box Bundle’ at $64.20, which includes a pig-shaped cocktail smoker and cocktail smoking chips. Both can be found on the WhistlePig website.
In a generous move, WhistlePig has committed to donating 100% of the proceeds from these sales to bartenders through the New Orleans-based non-profit Turning Tables, dedicated to transforming the hospitality landscape and creating equitable opportunities for the Black and Brown hospitality community in New Orleans.
