The Dalmore Unleashes Cask Curation Series: A Symphony of Sherry, Age, and Craftsmanship
The Dalmore kicks off its groundbreaking Cask Curation Series with a bang, unveiling the Sherry Edition—an elite trio of single malts crafted in collaboration with Spanish sherry titan González Byass. This isn’t just another whiskey release; it’s a masterclass in the art of cask influence.
Limited to a mere 150 sets on the global stage, this first release showcases three distinct age statements: a 26-year-old aged in a 2002 vintage González Byass cask, a 28-year-old matured in a rare 30-year-old Matusalem sherry cask, and a monumental 43-year-old, also cradled in a 30-year Apostoles sherry cask. Each expression is unadulterated—bottled at cask strength, non-chill filtered, with natural color—and they come swaddled in a custom Italian leather travel case.
This collaboration is the stuff of legends, solidifying a century-old alliance between The Dalmore and González Byass. Steering this sherry ship are the father-daughter duo of Antonio and Silvia Flores from the Jerez-based bodega, working hand-in-hand with Dalmore’s whiskey virtuosos Richard Paterson and Gregg Glass.
The Sherry Edition is just the overture in a four-part symphony of the Cask Curation Series. Come 2024, prepare for a Port-themed sequel featuring another iconic partnership. Releases in 2025 and 2026 will spotlight The Dalmore’s exclusive collaborations with undisclosed wine and spirit artisans.
Get ready: The Dalmore Cask Curation Series—Sherry Edition drops on October 3, available at select retailers across the globe.
