Sipping Responsibly: Morandé Wine Group Debuts Low-Alcohol Sauvignon Blanc
Chile’s Morandé Wine Group has released a lower alcohol 8% Sauvignon Blanc dubbed Bold WMN, just in time for those partaking in a dry, or damp, January and looking for low and no-alcohol alternatives to their favorite beverages.
The maker claims that the robust WMN Low Alcohol Sauvignon Blanc, which is perfect for pairing with seafood, has aromas of tropical fruit and white flowers.
The Central Valley of Chile is the origin of these grapes. The suggested retail price for the 8% alcohol by volume wine is £8.
According to a study conducted by Vivino among 1,844 users, only 5% of respondents said they planned to participate in a completely dry January this year. After the holiday season’s heavy drinking, many people are anticipated to opt for a “damp January,” or a reduction in alcohol consumption.
After a rough year of business due to the cost of the living problem, the British Beer and Pub Association (BBPA) is encouraging people to return to pubs in January to help businesses “that desperately need help to survive.”
The British Beer and Pub Association (BBPA) estimates that 39,000 bars and restaurants in the United Kingdom provide a beer with a low or no alcohol content for those who are trying to give up alcohol altogether.
