LeBron James’ Tequila Triumph: Lobos 1707 Debuts in UK’s Selfridges
LeBron James Launches Tequila into Selfridges
Lobos 1707, an agave spirits brand co-founded by Diego Osorio and basketball legend LeBron James, marked its first international venture with a debut in Dubai earlier this year.
This week, Lobos 1707 Tequila & Mezcal makes a prestigious foray into the UK market, exclusively partnering with Selfridges. The brand will showcase its products across Selfridges’ four locations in London, Birmingham, Manchester Exchange Square, and Manchester Trafford, as well as on selfridges.com. Fans can indulge in the Lobos 1707 Reposado Tequila, Lobos 1707 Joven Tequila, and the luxurious Lobos 1707 Extra Añejo, with prices ranging from £64.99 to £180.
“It’s a thrilling moment for our Pack as we continue our global expansion,” shared LeBron James, Investor and Partner of Lobos 1707 Tequila & Mezcal. “We are enthusiastic for both the UK and the global market to have the opportunity to try our exceptional quality alcoholic beverages..”
Crafted from 100% Blue Weber Agave, Lobos 1707 is a product of meticulous process and heritage. Harvested, distilled, and bottled in Jalisco, Mexico, the tequila is initially aged in American White Oak Barrels. It then undergoes finishing in Pedro Ximénez (PX) Sherry wine barrels, adopting the Solera method. This unique technique imparts each bottle with a distinctive, enhanced flavor profile and a notably smooth finish.
The brand’s inception in 2020 saw Osorio teaming up with the renowned athlete. James, alongside his business confidant and friend Maverick Carter, invested in Lobos 1707 to build a “strong consumer brand with diverse leadership,” as per their initial statement.
Both James and Carter are integral members of Main Street Advisors’ (MSA) investment group, which, alongside Mezorio Spirits, co-led the investment in Lobos 1707, solidifying its place in the premium spirits market.
