2024 Perfectionists Worldwide Bartending Initiative
Patrón Tequila has announced the commencement of its 2024 Perfectionists worldwide bartending initiative, and is currently open for submissions.
Application Deadline: September 2023
Interested bartenders have until the end of September 2023 to apply for the 2024 initiative.
Application Process
The application process will encompass an entry challenge, educational courses centered on the globally recognized Patrón Paloma, and exclusively in the United States, the Patrón Margarita cocktail.
Global Patrón Perfectionists Initiative
Moreover, a comprehensive Patrón Perfectionists initiative will be implemented in 15 countries, incorporating a cocktail competition. Other countries will provide local educational activities to supplement the global Patrón Perfectionists event schedule.

With a dynamic platform that provides practical knowledge on our spirits and category, recipe creation, techniques and traditions, and Mexican culture, we motivate participants to expand their horizons.

Academia Patrón
To further underline its dedication to fostering and empowering the hospitality industry, Patrón has bolstered its digital portal, Academia Patrón. This online platform aims to serve as a dynamic ‘educational ecosystem’, providing mentorship sessions with prominent trade professionals throughout the year.
Educational Modules
Three segments of educational modules will occur between July 2023 and March 2024, starting with the Paloma Perfecta series. This series, taking place from July to September, will feature hosts such as Giulia Cuccurullo of London’s Artesian, Yeray Monforte of Madrid’s Bad Company, and Kat Stanley Whyte of London’s The Savoy, all former Patrón Perfectionists winners. The subsequent two educational modules will be Mixologia de Mexico and World of Agave, scheduled from October to December 2023 and January to March 2024, respectively.
Collaboration with Tales of the Cocktail Foundation
In the United States, Patrón, a subsidiary of Bacardi, has collaborated with Tales of the Cocktail Foundation to orchestrate the 2024 programme and competition. The entry challenge will center on the Patrón Silver Margarita, supported by the Tales Margarita Masters educational course and live workshop. More educational and mentoring resources will be accessible from this point forward.
Entry Challenges
For the Paloma entry challenge, bartenders will be charged with crafting a Patrón Paloma that epitomizes their chosen city. Each concoction should also epitomize the Tequila brand’s commitment to premium ingredients. Entries should be in by 30 September 2023. In the United States, a similar challenge will be set, but with a focus on a Patrón Silver-based Margarita.
National and Regional Challenges
Once the local shortlists have been compiled from the submissions received by 30 September, up to 10 contestants from each country will be anonymously selected. They will then compete in their respective national final challenges, with an optional regional challenge available.
