Châtillon Honey Festival 2024: A Sweet Celebration in the Aosta Valley
Scheduled for the last weekend of October – this year on 25-26-27 October 2024 – the 21st Châtillon Honey Festival is dedicated to one of the healthiest products for our body. On the occasion of the event, local producers of Miel du Val d’Aoste invade the main street of the village, which also hosts stands offering themed sweets and delicacies of all kinds to visitors.
The event is organized by the municipal administration together with the Pro Loco and the Aosta Valley Bee Consortium Association, and includes, among other things, the award ceremony for the winners of the 30th Valle d’Aosta Honey Competition: from light multi-flower honey to rhododendron honey, from lime honey to dandelion honey, from chestnut honey to dark multi-flower honey, there is a vast variety of products capable of satisfying even the most demanding palates.
Among the points of greatest interest at the Châtillon Honey Festival is also the internal room of the former Hotel Londres: here, in fact, the tools that beekeepers have used over the years are exhibited, demonstrating the hard but pleasant work that lies behind the creation of this product.

How to get there
To reach Châtillon by car, take the A5 Turin – Aosta motorway and exit at Saint-Vincent / Châtillon. In case you come from France, you need to use the Mont Blanc Tunnel, while from Switzerland you can pass through the Great St. Bernard Tunnel. By train: railway line starting from Turin via Chivasso.
