Bruichladdich’s Enigmatic Elixir: Black Art Edition 11 Unraveled
Bruichladdich has unleashed the Black Art Edition 11, marking the 11th consecutive year of this coveted series.
This 24-year-old single malt is born from pre-renaissance casks of the distillery, maturing solely on Islay for nearly three decades.
Adam Hannett, the head distiller and sole keeper of the blend’s secrets, has crafted this spirit, leaving the cask composition and origins enigmatic. Only the age, vintage, and the 44.2% ABV have been disclosed.
The whisky paints an aromatic tapestry of citrus, interwoven with dried fruits, barley sugar, and a subtle leather undertone.
Hannett, speaking about this creation, expressed, “Black Art is a celebration of unbridled creativity. It’s an exploration into the heart of our Islay cellars, a dance between experimentation and tradition.”
He continued, “As a brand, we’re transparent. Yet, with Black Art, we invite trust. It’s a testament to the craft and the relentless quest for unparalleled flavour.”
For those seeking this elusive spirit, Black Art Edition 11 can be procured from the Bruichladdich website and select whisky connoisseurs’ outlets, priced at £395.
