American Metal Whiskey: Revving Up the Spirits World with Biker-Inspired Craftsmanship
American Metal Whiskey: Crafting Spirits with a Biker’s Touch
The Launch of American Metal Whiskey
American Metal Whiskey, imbued with a spirit of craftsmanship reminiscent of the custom-built motorcycles from American Chopper, debuted with two distinct expressions this month. Paul Teutul Jr., known for his role in the reality TV show, infused the whiskey with the same meticulous craftsmanship he applies to his bikes.
“As it stems from our workshop’s culture, not everyone can own a custom bike or luxury car, but our American Metal Whiskey is accessible, providing that sense of connection,” Allison notes.
The Flagship Expression
The mainstay of the American Metal Whiskey line, sourced from barrels in Tennessee and aged up to five years, presents a robust flavor profile. Bottled at 45% ABV, it offers a gateway into the brand’s world at a price of US$50.
A Rare Find: 10-Year Single Barrel
Their limited-edition, 10-year single barrel, distilled in Indiana, is a collector’s dream. With a 48% ABV and a price tag of US$214, it’s a testament to aged elegance in whiskey.
The Future: Kentucky Sourced Whiskey
Looking ahead, the brand also possesses Kentucky-sourced whiskey, hinting at exciting future releases.
A Collaboration of Craftsmanship
All American Metal Whiskey stocks undergo partial aging in Vermont, overseen by Vermont Spirits’ CEO Randy Carlson, who doubles as COO and president, alongside the brand’s co-founder, Chris Bishop.
“Inspired by the magnificent cars and bikes at American Metal Customs, authenticity and a genuine story are core to our ethos,” Bishop shared, echoing Allison’s sentiment on honest consumer connection.
Road Testing: Trade Shows to Mama Tried
Before its market debut, the team showcased the whiskey at various trade shows. At Mama Tried motorcycle show in Milwaukee, they reportedly distributed 100 bottles, indicating a strong reception.
“The narrative and our industry ties infuse it with character, resonating with enthusiasts who appreciate the garage-born spirit of homage,” Allison reflected.
Availability and Expansion
American Metal Whiskey is available in its home state of Connecticut and can be purchased online for delivery to 41 states.
In the World of American Whiskey
In related news, Diageo-backed incubator Pronghorn recently invested in the New England Barrel Company, marking another significant development in the American whiskey scene.
