Hedonism Unveiled: Compass Box’s Annual Release and Cinematic Ode to Whisky’s Evolution
In a groundbreaking shift, Compass Box transitions its trailblazing blended grain whisky, Hedonism, from a staple offering to an eagerly awaited annual limited edition. To commemorate this evolution, Compass Box has unveiled a compelling documentary, “From Grain to Gold,” which delves into the storied past of grain whisky.
Since its inception in 2000, Hedonism has stood as a vanguard in the whisky world, being the first blended grain Scotch to hit the market and pioneering in celebrating female empowerment through its distinctive bottle label design.
With the onset of 2024, Hedonism will transition out of Compass Box’s core lineup, a move spurred by the dwindling reserves of aged grain whisky, thereby marking its future releases as highly anticipated annual events.
Celebrating Artistic Collaboration
In an exciting new venture, Compass Box partners with Stephanie Rew, an artist renowned for her fusion of contemporary art and traditional Renaissance gilding techniques, to adorn the 2024 Hedonism label, setting the stage for future collaborations with female artists to reinterpret the iconic Hedonism woman.
A Symphony of Art and Whisky
Stephanie Rew brings to the project a passion for female empowerment, her artwork casts a powerful, dramatic gaze from the label, embodying the essence of Hedonism. Meanwhile, Compass Box’s marketing director, Racheal Vaughan Jones, highlights the documentary “From Grain to Gold” as a visual feast that chronicles Compass Box’s innovative spirit and its collaboration with Rew, a unique melding of ancient artistry and modern whisky craftsmanship.
