Haven Primrose Valley Ushers in New Era with On-Site Wetherspoons
March marks a new chapter for holidaymakers in North Yorkshire, as Haven Primrose Valley Holiday Park is set to unveil its pioneering on-site Wetherspoons pub. This opening heralds a first for UK holiday parks, bringing the renowned pub experience directly to vacationers’ doorsteps.
Haven, a part of Blackstone’s portfolio since 2021, manages 41 holiday parks across the UK. Wetherspoons, with over 800 pubs in the UK and several in the Republic of Ireland, is scaling back its operations in Ireland, focusing more on its UK presence. The Haven Primrose Valley addition, located roughly 8 miles from its nearest counterpart, The Lord Rosebery in Scarborough, aims to redefine holiday park entertainment.
Investing in the Holiday Experience This new pub is a slice of Haven’s ambitious £4m investment in enhancing its food and beverage services. Haven’s holiday parks are already home to Burger Kings, Costa Coffees, and Papa Johns, and this latest venture with Wetherspoons aims to further enrich the culinary and leisure options for guests. The move comes amid a surge in ‘staycation’ interest, with online searches for UK holiday parks like Butlin’s, Potins, and Haven showing a significant increase.
Peter Blake, Haven’s Chief Operating Officer, expressed enthusiasm about this novel collaboration. “We are ecstatic to be the first holiday provider to partner with one of the UK’s most cherished pub chains. This venture signifies our commitment to expanding our food and beverage alliances, enhancing the overall experience for our holidaymakers and holiday home owners,” he said.
