Langley’s Gin Sets Eco-Benchmark with Climate-Neutral Certification
Langley’s Gin Attains Climate-Neutral Certification
Charter Brands’ Langley’s Gin has recently earned the prestigious title of a climate-neutral business, a distinction bestowed by The Change Climate Project.
This notable achievement came after Charter Brands underwent an extensive evaluation. The process demanded comprehensive measurement and reduction of emissions, aligned with global initiatives to attain net-zero greenhouse gas emissions.
Earlier in February, Langley’s Gin proudly announced its B Corp certification, affirming its ambition to emerge as the market’s ‘most responsible, accessible gin brand’.
Moreover, the gin brand is a committed participant in the 1% for the Planet initiative, pledging 1% of its yearly revenue to environmental causes.
Matt Ashton-Melia, the Managing Director at Charter Brands, emphasizes the brand’s mission-driven approach. “We strive to pioneer and set new standards in our industry. Achieving Climate Neutral Certification, following our B Corp accreditation and joining the 1% FTP, is just the beginning,” he said.
He further noted that this achievement is part of a broader commitment throughout the company and showcases their dedication to making Langley’s Gin the most sustainable yet accessible brand in its category.
“The journey to this certification was challenging, and we’re elated to be a part of a community of businesses dedicated to reducing emissions,” Ashton-Melia added, highlighting the significance of this milestone in their sustainability journey.
