The Forest Distillery Elevates Gin Game: The UK’s Highest Distillery Unveils Earl Grey Infusion
Founded in 2015 by power duo Karl and Lindsay Bond, The Forest Distillery stakes its claim as the UK’s loftiest spirits maker, perched at the highest altitude in Cheshire, England.
Their new concoction, Earl Grey Forest Gin, follows the legacy of their inaugural spirit, Forest Gin. This elixir is crafted with a blend of organic and wild foraged botanicals—think bilberry, wild raspberry, gorse flower, pine, and moss—sourced right from the distillery’s backyard. Add to that the purity of on-site spring water.
Here’s the kicker: The gin is elevated with premium Oolong tea, bergamot, and cornflowers, sealed in a ceramic bottle featuring art by Suzy Taylor. Lindsay Bond makes it clear: “We’re not gin flavor fanatics, but we get that some people are. So, we went for a natural twist without artificial nonsense. Thrilled to now ship this to Canada, among other global spots.”
International Impact? You bet. The Forest Distillery has gone global, exporting to hotspots like Japan, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Canada, and Germany.
Mark November 18 on your calendars, folks. That’s when the gin hits the shelves at 50 select BC Liquor Stores in British Columbia. According to John McLaughlin of BC Liquor: “This launch propels the existing momentum from last year’s Forest Gin and Forest Whisky. Consumers crave authentic, premium, family-crafted spirits, and we deliver.”
