Highland Park and Gwendoline Christie Unveil Orkney’s Mysteries in Cinematic Tribute
Highland Park Distillery is teaming up with British actress Gwendoline Christie for a cinematic deep-dive into Orkney’s rich tapestry. The film, dubbed “Orkney Stories,” will serve as a visceral journey led by Christie, famed for her role as Brienne of Tarth in HBO’s Game of Thrones. She’ll unmask the secrets of Highland Park’s whisky alchemy and roam the untamed expanses of Hobbister Moor, the peat-rich heartland fueling the distillery’s character.
This cinematic venture is a cornerstone of Highland Park’s 225th-anniversary revelry, punctuated by the unveiling of a rare 54-year-old single malt.
Christie reflects, “Orkney’s rugged beauty is a feast for the senses, revealing how its unique spirit and community shape Highland Park’s whisky legacy. This island has been a muse for me, much like it has sculpted the identity of Highland Park.”
Paul Condron, Highland Park’s Global Brand Director, chimes in, “We brought Gwendoline Christie into Orkney’s magnetic fold to spotlight our whisky’s distinct personality and our deep connection to these islands, all part of our 225th-anniversary celebration.”
Starting October 5th, “Orkney Stories” will stream on Highland Park’s social channels, YouTube, and its official website.
