Vermouth Mulassano Extra Dry Review And Tasting Notes
Mulassano extra dry vermouth is a delightful fortified wine, very fragrant and full of elegant aromas.
If you are looking for a very dry, precise, and stylish vermouth to make Martini Dry, you have found it. You could also use white Mulassano, but the extra dry is genuinely fabulous for its expressiveness and range of aromas.
It is neither a pyrotechnic nor too expansive vermouth. The opposite is graceful, refined, and played on gentle and intriguing notes. The balance between spices and herbs is perfect.
It has something mysterious and spicy that seduces the nose without ever raising the tone.
The bouquet
The bouquet is clean, with cloves, flowers, sage, alpine herbs, and more pungent notes reminiscent of gentian. Very well done, strictly speaking.
The flavor
It is direct and smooth on the palate, with sweet-bitter returns of flowers, herbs, and saffron to make the sip consistent—excellent balance and persistence, almond notes, and clean, long, rightly herbaceous finish.
Price
25-30 euros, it’s ok for a well-made vermouth.
What cocktails to make with Mulassano Extra Dry vermouth?
Excellent served with a splash of soda and lemon zest, but it is also worth trying with the great classics such as Dry Martini, Vesper, and Tuxedo.
