Le Nuvole Rosato Angol D’Amig 2020: Lambrusco like you’ve never experienced it
Is there a more charismatic and courageous wine than Le Nuvole Rosato Angol D’Amig 2020, if we remain in the 12 euro price range?
I dare you to find it; if you find a more vigorous, elegant, and elegant bottle of this pink wine, I will send you home with ten panettones made by Niko Romito, each priced at 150 euros. I swear.
Joking aside, this wine is a blend of Lambrusco Salamino and Grasparossa, a masterpiece of balance, depth, salt, and drinkability. Clear and taut fruit, endless flowers, and aromas of rock and mint fill the mouth while it explodes with spectacular freshness.
And note that there are also tannins in this coppery wine: they are delicate and only serve to support and give solemnity to the wine, but it should be served cold at 12 degrees, therefore, think only of pleasantness and finesse.
If you are looking for a gastronomic wine to pair with fish dishes, seafood, sushi, Thai cuisine, Chinese takeaway, pizzas, but also kebabs or a plate of Parmesan and salami with torta fritta.
In summary, it is a territorial wine, a hymn to Emilian gastronomy and culture—but the real one, not the industrial drinks from Cantine Riunite, but that of the artisans of taste.
And being the emblem of this land, it was born to be contemptuous and mocking, but generous. Trust it and you will discover one of the most amazing wineries in Italy.
And this is still Lambrusco, but know that refermented ones are even more charismatic.
How it is produced
Marco Lanzotti practices sustainable and clean vine cultivation, like a real farmer. spontaneous fermentation and very fast maceration, then aging in steel.
Organoleptic characteristics
Flamingo wing at sunset color.
The bouquet is a swirl of rose petals, mint, geranium and raspberries. Orange peel and watermelon to give freshness. Pure elegance without make-up, without compromise, vinous and with a touch of yeast that gives depth.
On the palate, it is slender, direct and vigorous in its salty push.
It is agile and simple, but tasty; it bites; it has exhilarating and sensorial layers of fruit and lots of pulp; and it flows like pomegranate juice. Long and imaginative, it is a wine born to give peace and depth of thought, not amaze with special effects.
Price
12 euros for a small, large bottle, a price perhaps too striking for many used to spend 3.99 for a bottle of Lambrusco, but even if it cost 18, it would still be an acceptable price.
It pays off all the industrial mess and retraces the path toward sustainability and the rebirth of Emilian wine and that radioactive duckling that is Lambrusco today.
Food pairings
Excellent with fish appetizers for Christmas Eve dinner or as a light picnic wine for lunch by the sea. Try it with Chicken Cacciatore, Vitello Tonnato, pasta alla carbonara, Pad Thai.
