Henry C. Ramos, Meyer’s restaurant barman in New Orleans, a mythical figure whose existence has not been proven, is the inventor of this sumptuous, milky cocktail harmless-looking, but with a seductive taste, aroma and charming like few others.

  • 4.5 cl of gin
  • 1.5 cl of lemon juice
  • 1.5 cl of lime juice
  • 3 cl sugar syrup
  • 6 cl of fresh cream
  • 1 egg white
  • 3 drops of orange flower water
  • 2 drops of vanilla extract
  • soda

How to make the Ramos Gin Fizz drink

Prepare all the ingredients on the counter in order to work well and quickly, especially the cream and egg white.

Pour all ingredients in a shaker.

Shake vigorously for one minute: you have to mix both cream and egg white to perfection, so do take your time.

Pour into a highball glass.
