Orange Blossom cocktail original recipe with gin, sweet vermouth orange juice The Orange Blossom cocktail is an old glory of the Prohibition, a simple blend of gin and orange juice to serve with ice: it’s the British version of the Screwdriver cocktail. Be careful, however, the classic Orange Blossom recipe, the one we also find in Harry Craddock’s Savoy Cocktail Book, is made of juice and gin, but nowadays the mainstream recipe has been softened by a 1/3 of sweet vermouth, transforming the Orange Blossom in a perfect trifecta with 1/3 of gin, 1/3 of orange juice and 1/3 of sweet vermouth.

How to make the Orange Blossom cocktail

Squeeze half an orange and strain the juice. Put the juice, gin and sweet vermouth in the shaker with ice, shake for 10 seconds and pour into a cooled cup.
