Ingredients of the original Brazilian Caipirinha

  • 5 cl of cachaça
  • 1/2 lime
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar

How to prepare the perfect Caipirinha

Cut the lime into wedges and place it in a glass with 2 spoons of sugar.

Add a drizzle of cachaça and pound vigorously to extract juice and flavors from the peel of the lime, mix well, then pour cachaça and ice (crushed ice, if you want to cool cocktail faster) to fill the glass.

If you like, garnish with a slice of lime and then serve.

For a perfect Caipirinha drink, wait 5 minutes before serving the cocktail, so that it can cool down properly, or prepare it in a large bowl or jug ​​to find a good balance between the ingredients.
