Neverland farm holidays
The Neverland farm holidays is situated among the hills of Val Ceno, near Parma, a magic place where time has stopped and it is Nature that dictates the pace of life. The agritourism lies on a peaceful hill surrounded by woods and from there depart lots of trekking trials to explore the valley.
Here you can find a variety of different activities and things to do that are different to those found in typical outdoor destinations in Parma and the Appennines: birdwatching, cycling and mountain biking, cultural and medieval tours to discovery the wonderful castles of Emilia.
First of all, you can enjoy some horseback riding. Mrs. Edi, the owner and a skilled rider, will take you through mountains, forests and ravines for forgotten paths, where you will have the chance to see wild places and retrace the via Fracigena like the old pilgrims or ride alongside ancient medieval castles, like the one of Bardi. If you are not a pro rider, do not worry, there are also horse back riding lessons to learn how to ride before adventuring “Into the Wild”.
Another admirable thing at Neverland farm holidays is the riding school for kids, you can learn how to ride, but with a soft and therapeutic approach to these beautiful animals.
If your child has never seen a horse, this is the place to climb in the saddle for the first time! The “natural communication” is an ambitious project of which the Neverland farm is justly proud: learn how to properly approach, drive in hiking or even “tame” with ethological methods this beautiful animal will no longer be a problem.
The farm will arrange also some culinary and organic workshop, where you will manipulate the fruits of the earth. There are of course more traditional cooking classes to learn how to prepare the great recipes of Parma, like gnocchi with ricotta, torta fritta, tortelli alla parmigiana, bomba di riso, but also homemade bread, jam, cheese, and all that is part of Emilia’s tradition. If you looking for a serious culinary travel Neverland is a must visit farm where you will find courtesy and organic products. Of course there is also a typical restaurant if you want to taste some Prosciutto di Parma, Culatello and amazing cold cuts.
Do not miss nearby
If you are a fan of medieval history and ancient castles, the magnificent castle of Bardi, home of the Museum of Torture, is a few kilometers away from the Neverland agritourism. And for motoring enthusiasts there is the Autodromo di Varano Melegari.
